Covid-19 Update 26th August 2021

To all our valued clients and friends,

As Sydney-siders continue to battle through the gruelling lockdown, we will continue to provide you with updates about MVG and the way we are structuring our appointments for the next few weeks. Please keep in mind that our staff are working very hard and under quite stressful circumstances to ensure that your pet’s are being cared for in these unprecedented times.

Important information relating to EXISTING CLIENTS: We would like to encourage all our existing clients to postpone their pet’s annual vaccines until lockdown is over.  Please also note that if your annual vaccination (and some other non-urgent check-ups) are due in September, we will then send you a reminder in October. This would include non-urgent annual health checks, dental checks, and yearly heartworm injections.  If you have vaccination or heartworm injections that are more than 2 months overdue, then call us for advice. This does NOT apply to puppy and kittens who still need their vaccines and boosters. And of course, we are still available for all essential needs.

Important information relating to NEW CLIENTS: Unfortunately at this stage, due to our very heavy workload (because of this recent Covid lockdown), we are unable to accept new clients UNLESS for urgent services, and even then, only if you live in the same LGA as our clinic, have no existing vet, AND we are the closest vet clinic to your home. Otherwise, we advise you to please contact another veterinary clinic closer to your home.  We apologise for the inconvenience, and hope to be able to welcome you in the future.

Covid rules are changing constantly. For advice on leaving home to take your pet to the vet, one good source of information is the NSW DPI website: https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/home/covid-19/livestock-and-animal-welfare

Thank you for your continued support, and we hope that we can welcome everyone in the near future.  Until then, please stay safe and call us for your essential pet care needs.
