The puppies are 6 weeks old today, so time for their first vaccinations. Puppies should be vaccinated against parvovirus, distemper and hepatitis at this age. Each pup is examined head-to-toe, and their hearts are checked. Dr Peter from our Gregory Hills clinic checked and vaccinated all the puppies. They were all in good health – and growing very fast!
At this age, puppies are also microchipped. If you are not aware of what a microchip looks like, it’s a very small electronic chip that is implanted through a needle under the skin of your dog’s neck/shoulders. If your dog was ever to become lost, then a vet or council pound will be able to scan the dog and contact you.
