Izzy is a gorgeous 2-year-old Golden Retriever. Izzy has never had puppies before, but comes from a family of experienced breeders, so they knew all about the journey of a pregnant dog. Izzy came to see Dr Priya and the nurses at our Gregory Hills clinic for some blood tests to try to determine when she was ovulating. After the second test, we advised that it was time and she went to visit Frankie, a handsome male Golden Retriever.
Mating occurred the very next day and it was now just a matter of waiting to see if Izzy was pregnant. Did you know that pregnancy usually lasts around 9 weeks in dogs?
