Macarthur Vet Group has been caring for pets in the Macarthur region since 1992 and has grown to include multiple veterinary clinics across the area.
Located on the southwestern fringe of Sydney, the Macarthur region offers the best of both worlds, with the picturesque Camden Valley on our doorstep and the South Coast, Southern Highlands and Sydney all within easy reach.
Over the years, we have built a strong reputation within the local community through the knowledge, experience and dedication of our veterinarians, veterinary nurses and support team. Work Experience
Mentoring the future generation of Vets and Veterinary Nurses
Macarthur Veterinary Group is proud to to support the future generations of veterinary professionals through our work experience and student placement programs. We recognise the importance of providing students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a veterinary enviroment, learn more about the industry and explore a potential career working with animals.
High School Students Work Experience Program
We welcome Year 10 High School students for work experience at our clinics. These placements provide students with an opportunity to experience the day-to-day enviroment of a veterinary clinic and gain a better understanding of the different roles within the veterinary industry.
Work experience can help students decide whether a career in the veterinary industry may be right for them, while providing an opportunity to develop their confidence, communication skills and initiative.

Veterinary Nurses Work Experience Program
We work with TAFE NSW, specifically offering work experience placement opportunities to students studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. These placements are organised as part of the TAFE training program. To become qualified, all veterinary nurses must complete a quota of hours in work placement.
Vet Students
Macarthur Veterinary Group is highly regarded as a training hospital for vet students to do their required work placements so that they can participate and experience real life veterinary practice. We recognise the importance of mentoring vet students and providing them with supervised opportunities to develop their skills before they graduate. Many of our employed vets have come to know us (and vice versa) through this program.
