I started my work placement with MVG in October 2020, when I was in Year 10. I began my casual position as an Animal Attendant in May 2022.
What are your qualifications and when did you achieve them?
Certificate II – Animal Studies (2021)
What are some of the things you love about the veterinary industry?
Obviously, I love spending time helping animals, but I also love the variety of patients and cases that come in every day. There’s always something different and always an opportunity to build your knowledge and experience.
MVG is a great place to work because…
Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, willing to take the time to do the best for their patient and teach future generations of vets/nurses.
Description of your pets / spouse / family
At home, I have so many animals! Two dogs (Snowy the JRT & Cindy the Maltese), two cats (Nala and Pennywise), three rats (Alina, Bill & Ben), an axolotl (Bean), three ducks (Donald, Daisy & Bob), four chickens (Pepper, Esmerelda, Ash & Spot), quails, finches, lovebirds, and foster cats/kittens. My parents are also Sydney Wildlife Rescue volunteers, so we often have native wildlife in care, especially birds.
One interesting fact about you that no one knows!
In my spare time I am a scout and am learning Lyra (a form of aerial circus arts).
