Puppy Preschool at Macarthur Veterinary Group

If your dog is between 8 and 14 weeks old and has had their first vaccination, you are welcome to come along.

Schedule:

Mt. Annan	Wednesday evenings 7:30pm – 8:30pm
Gregory Hills	Thursday evenings 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Cost:

$185.00 (including GST) for the full 4-week course. A non-refundable deposit of $85 is payable to secure your pup’s place in the class.

Why attend Puppy Preschool?

Your puppy has a critical socialisation window between 3 and 12 weeks of age. During this time, positive experiences with people, other puppies, new environments, and everyday sights and sounds help shape them into confident, well-adjusted adult dogs.

If puppies don’t receive adequate socialisation during this important developmental stage, they may be more likely to develop fear, anxiety, or behavioural issues later in life.

Puppy preschool provides a safe, controlled environment where your puppy can build confidence, learn important life skills, and start their training journey with guidance from experienced professionals.

At Macarthur Veterinary Group, our Puppy Preschool classes are led by our experienced and fully qualified veterinary nurses. With years of hands-on puppy training experience and ongoing education in animal behaviour, our team provides up-to-date, evidence-based advice to help you raise a happy, confident puppy.

Puppy Preschool provides a safe, controlled environment for puppies to socialise during their critical developmental period—even before they’ve completed their vaccination schedule.

To ensure every class is as safe as possible:

• Our training areas are disinfected before every class.
• Classes are conducted indoors in a controlled environment.
• All puppies are healthy, vet-checked, and have received at least their first vaccination before attending.

What to expect

Our small, discussion-based classes encourage participation from the whole family, including children. Each session includes:

• Positive, reward-based training exercises
• Safe puppy socialisation
• One-on-one guidance from our veterinary nurses
• Practical advice on behaviour, training, and puppy care
• Support with any individual challenges you and your puppy may be experiencing

We’re here to give both you and your puppy the best possible start, helping build the foundations for a lifetime of good behaviour and companionship.
