She also loves seeing pocket pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, rats etc.). Other interests include dermatology, ultrasonography and surgery.

Holly joined MVG in January 2016 to become part of a small animal veterinary group with a strong focus on continuing education.  She has only ever wanted to be a Veterinarian, and particularly loves being able to combine her love of helping animals and people with the variety of the work that general practice offers.  Holly grew up in the village of Cheddar in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 2006.  Since arriving in Australia, Holly met her fiancé Ben who is also a Vet.  They share their home with two cockatiels, Cherry and Alfie.

Sarah Aitken B.V.Sc. (Hons 1)

Sarah AitkenSarah completed her degree at Sydney University in 2006 and joined MVG in early 2010 where she believed she would have many opportunities to develop her skills, both surgical and medical.

Like many of our staff, Sarah grew up on a farm: a dairy on the mid north coast where she had lots of interaction with animals - cows (obviously), pigs, horses, lots of dogs, pet mice, rabbits, deer, and chickens. Sarah gained a great deal of admiration and respect for the veterinarians who treated the family’s animals. This early experience as well as the knowledge that veterinary science would provide her with opportunities for continual learning and challenge decided Sarah on her career path.

Sarah is passionate about her work and like so many of our staff particularly enjoys being able to return sick/unhappy animals to good health. She is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and is very keen to further develop her orthopaedic surgery skills. Sarah also enjoys challenging medical cases and emergency work.

Sarah is an avid horse rider and does eventing with her thoroughbred, 'Sprinkhaan'. Sarah shares her home with “Alfie” a desexed moggie she adopted from our Bradbury clinic shortly after joining the practice.

Jenna Maytom, BVSc (Hons)

Jenna MaytomI love people and have great passion for everything I do.  My key areas of interest as a Vet are in physiology, internal medicine (cardiology) and anaesthesia.  I have undertaken extra training and gained experience in anaesthesia, particularly in the areas of research and human surgical training.  I am extremely passionate about patient welfare and love teaching and working with colleagues and clients.

In addition to my Vet Science degree I also have a BVBiol (Hons) degree.  In my spare time I enjoy reading physics texts and playing classical and contemporary music on my clarinet, and performing as part of a concert band.  I grew up in Bankstown with cats and a Border Collie named Jess before moving to Wagga Wagga to study Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University.  At the completion of my studies I returned to my family home in Bankstown which we share with Tilly, a Maltese, Sadie the cat and a Golden Retriever puppy, a gift for my cricket-mad dad, who he named Richie (Benaud)

I also breed, show and judge Angora goats.
