Our 5-year-old miniature dachshund Daphne was diagnosed with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), requiring emergency surgery for a ruptured intervertebral disk. We rushed her to Macarthur Veterinary Group, Camden after hours and the vet on call assessed her and referred us to a specialist surgeon for further investigation and ultimately her operation.
After being in the specialist hospital for a week recovering, Daphne needed a further 6 weeks of bed rest to heal her injured spinal cord. As I work full time I had no way of supervising her all day, so I asked if she was able to board at the clinic during the day.
Daphne went off to “doggy day care” every day at Macarthur Veterinary Group Camden for her 6 weeks of crate rest. All of the staff could not have been more helpful and caring and I know she was very well looked after at all times.
Macarthur Veterinary Group Camden staff went above and beyond continually during her time there. She was dropped off earlier than the practice opened, so a vet nurse was always there to open up early for us. Whenever I had a query a vet would assess her and put my mind at ease. Her recovery would not have been possible without the help and dedication that the team from Macarthur Veterinary Group Camden displayed.
